Among the greatest sources of privilege and honor in my life are family, military service,
and the practice of law. On occasion, military service becomes the most demanding of those
three. This happened when, in 2004, this law practice shut down while the undersigned served
for fourteen months on military active duty. Conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan continue and,
through early December 2009, it will be my privilege to return to active duty and deploy to Iraq
for that period with the 155th
Brigade Combat Team, Mississippi Army National Guard. My
period of federal active duty begins May 1, with significant military training during most of the
month of April. The bottom line is that this office will be closed April 15, 2009. My plans are to
resume the practice of law in mid-December, 2009, with details to follow.
If this office is handling any ongoing matters for you, please be assured that your legal
needs will not be affected. The undersigned will coordinate with you to make sure any open
matters are transferred seamlessly to other counsel or resolved. I will absolutely not let client
needs suffer as a result of this development.
